Buffalo Tree Presents #CareForTheCaravan: an effort to amplify help for the humanitarian crisis at our southern border, mobilize grassroots support and bring critical aid to those in need.
The #CareForTheCaravan donation drive kicks off on May 18th at The Granada Theater in Dallas, TX featuring The Polyphonic Spree, Cure For Paranoia, Tiarra Girls, and Cry Havoc Theater Company. Voter registration booths will also be available.
Tickets are $15 per person: order now, tickets will go fast!
Please bring donations of essential items and clothing (list below) to the show. Volunteers will be on hand to receive donated items and load them onto the #CareForTheCaravan Truck to be delivered to refugees and immigrants in need at the border near McAllen, TX. Online monetary donations are also accepted:
Online donations and proceeds from ticket sales will go toward purchasing more supplies and delivery costs.
On May 19, the Still Austin Whiskey Co. will host a sister event emceed by Olga Campos Benz - Author, with Tiarra Girls performing. On May 20th the #CareForTheCaravan truck will arrive in McAllen, TX. The Buffalo Tree crew will spend the day volunteering and helping to distribute items.
Refugees and immigrants are arriving at our southern border in large numbers, having fled unimaginable atrocities. These are families fleeing violence and poverty (mostly from Central America) and they need our help. Immigrants make America great.

Requested items include (*new items only*):
Toiletries including deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, feminine hygiene products, etc
Shoes (sandals, tennis shoes, loafers) for men, women, children and infants of all sizes
Clothes (pants, t-shirts, blouses, underclothing) for children and adults of all sizes
Baby supplies for toddlers (diapers, baby wipes, baby bottles)
Gift cards to purchase food items
Resealable plastic bags (ziplock, etc)
Phone cards
Jugs of water
