You are invited to join us in a conversation with District Attorney John Creuzot on Wednesday, April 17 at 6:30 pm. It will be an opportunity for Dallas residents to engage the District Attorney's office.
District Attorney Creuzot has been a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform in Dallas - vowing to establish trust in the DA's office, limiting the prosecution of low-level offenses, focusing on juvenile rehabilitation and ending money bail. But we still have much more work to do. That’s why we’re hosting a community town hall -- to get at the very bottom of what needs to be done to ensure our communities are safe. Will you join us?
WHEN: April 17, 2019, 6:30-8:30 PM
WHERE: The Texas Theatre, 231 W Jefferson Blvd, Dallas, TX 75208
It’s no secret that we have witnessed numerous examples of prosecutors misusing their authority to target, intimidate and incarcerate Black and Brown people at alarming levels. Prosecutors nationwide have historically ignored the needs of Black communities by refusing to acknowledge the corrupt practices and law enforcement and racial disparities within the criminal justice system. Now is our chance to enact real change under the leadership of District Attorney John Creuzot.
We are calling on the people who live and work in Dallas to join us as we discuss the needs of our community with District Attorney John Creuzot -- with your help, we can transform the lives of Black people in Dallas.
Will you be able to attend the Community Town Hall? RSVP TODAY to https://act.colorofchange.org/survey/community-town-halll-dallas-district-attorney-john-creuzot/
