As promised by DCDP Chair Carol Donovan, we're rolling out a series of summer workshops as part of our Democratic Leadership Institute. These trainings will better equip you all for the 2018 elections and make you the best activists you can be! All trainings will be taught by experts in their fields, and they are completely free to attend. Make sure to RSVP for each class you plan to attend.

We invite you to join us on Friday, September 1 at noon for the Tillotson Speaker Series. The keynote speaker is Congressman Marc Veasey. All funds will benefit the DCDP. The cost per luncheon is $100 and includes a 3-course meal at Maggiano’s Restaurant.
"Getting your period as a woman is uncomfortable... But getting your period as a homeless woman - that's hell." There are more than 1,000 homeless women in Dallas, all in need of menstrual hygiene products. We're teaming up with Take Charge. Period. to collect pads and tampons to donate to food pantries around the County. The price and accessibility of these products, not to mention medicine like Midol and Pamprin, are yet another expensive burden placed on women, and we want to do more to ensure that no woman goes without these products and can live in dignity.
Join us for our women's toiletry drive on August 30 from 6-8pm at HQ - 4209 Parry Ave., Dallas 75223. Bring tampons, pads, etc. to donate, and come hear from Tammi Kollinger from Take Charge. Period.! If you can't make it to the party, we'll be collecting donations at the office all month, so stop by and drop off your donation during office hours on any day leading up to the big event.
In partnership with Representative Eric Johnson and Chairwoman Carol Donovan, we are collecting school supplies at the DCDP office for the upcoming MLK Back to School Fest at the MLK Community Center. If you'd like to help, please bring supplies to the DCDP HQ any weekday before August 24, between 9am and 5:30pm. The headquarters is located at 4209 Parry Ave., Dallas, Texas 75223.
Resistance and civil disobedience in 2017 requires intersectional solidarity and community organizing. An attack on some of us is an attack on all of us. We have to stand united and fight all forms of oppression during Trump's Administration.
Your Dallas Democrats have compiled a calendar of local and statewide events, hosted by our allies and other organizations that are working to resist the Trump administration and Texas GOP leaders. Make sure to bookmark this page and check back regularly for new events.
It is important to remember that these events are not strictly hosted by Democratic clubs/organizations; sign up for our Roundup for a weekly email blast that includes upcoming Democratic events.
Help us keep our resistance calendar up-to-date by sending new event information to Tessa at email@example.com or calling the Dallas County Democratic Party office at 214-821-8331.
