The rules and by-laws for the Dallas County Democratic Party are determined and voted by the Executive Committee. This section is designed to hold the approved by-laws of the Dallas County Democratic Party and its sub-committees. The DCDP is currently in a review process of all party by-laws and regulations. We will update the newly approved by-laws for each committee as they are approved by the Advisory Council.
The Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) makes recommendations regarding the overall strategic direction of the Dallas County Democratic Party. We emphasize relative priority of activities to meet our bottom line objectives, to connect with the final, bottom line result. The SPC provides for the development and delivery of messages that motivate voters. Both near-term (one or two future election cycles) and long-term (two or more election cycles) are considered. This committee performs various task management duties for the Dallas County Democratic Party.
The Advisory Council coordinates the development and adoption of policies by the DCDP standing committees, and reports its recommendations to the Executive Committee. In addition, the Advisory Council provides advice and counsel to the Chair of the DCDP. The Executive Committee created the Advisory Council in 2005 to assist in the reorganization of the Dallas County Democratic Party.
